Questions
What happens to a transparent background?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become white. That is what most forms want for photos and signatures.
Will the JPG be smaller than my PNG?
For photos, usually by a lot. Screenshots with large flat colours are often small as PNG already, so the JPG may come out about the same size.
Is it free?
