How to make a photo’s background white for an ID or exam form
Forms often reject photos taken against a wall, a curtain or a busy room. You can replace the background with plain white, or light blue where a form asks for it, without a studio.
Steps
- Take the photo facing a window or other soft light, with your face and shoulders in frame.
- Open Make background white and choose the photo. The background is removed on your device, and nothing is uploaded.
- Check the edges around your hair and shoulders, then download.
- Resize the result to your form’s limits with the exact-KB resizer or your form’s page under Forms.
Before you submit
- Some forms, such as passport and visa photos, have strict rules on lighting, expression and head size. A changed background doesn’t fix those.
- Need a full passport or visa photo checked against the official rules? visaphotos.app makes those.
