How to put photos or scans into one PDF under a size limit
Portals often ask for one PDF with several pages, for example both sides of an ID card or every page of a marksheet, and cap the file at a few hundred KB.
Steps
- Open Image to PDF, or a preset page such as JPG to PDF under 100 KB or under 300 KB.
- Add the photos in the order you want the pages, and move them up or down if needed.
- Choose A4 or Letter for documents, or Fit to image to keep each photo’s shape.
- Set Max KB to your portal’s limit. The tool lowers the image quality evenly across the pages until the whole PDF fits.
- Download the PDF and check each page.
Tips for sharp pages at small sizes
- Shoot documents flat, in daylight, and fill the frame with the page.
- Crop away the table or floor around the document first with Crop image.
- Fewer pages means more KB for each one, so leave out anything the portal didn’t ask for.
Already have several PDFs? Merge them into one, then compress the result.
