How to increase a photo’s size in KB when it is too small
Some forms set a minimum, such as 10 KB for many Indian exams, 54 KB for US passport online renewal, or 200 KB for Canada’s IRCC digital photo. A small or heavily compressed photo can fall below it.
1. Raise the quality
Set Min KB in the resizer. We try higher JPEG quality first.
2. Use more pixels
If the form allows a range (for example 600–1200 px), use the larger size. More pixels means more KB.
3. Padding
If the picture is still too small, we add empty comment data inside the JPG. The image looks identical and the file reaches the minimum.
Try it: US passport renewal (54 KB minimum), Canada IRCC (200 KB minimum) or 10–20 KB.
